This is an independent semi-academic annual literary journal. We publish according to a single theme for each issue. Our fourth issue will drop its call for papers and theme announcement in roughly August 2021 - please stay tuned! 

HS is a horror research brand and one-woman publishing operation that strives to make academic publishing more accessible and to celebrate both critical theory and fandom.

ABOUT THE EDITOR IN CHIEF

Cecilia Abate is an independent scholar working out of California. She has been published in Grim Magazine and given lectures on her work at Salem Horror Fest, the Popular Culture Association Conference, and the American Horror Story Conference @ the UEA. Her passions are possessions and bubble tea.
